The purpose of this position is to facilitate fellowship for the body of Christ through quality food and beverage production. Requires some Wednesday and Saturday afternoon/evenings, and Sunday mornings shiftsEssential Duties and Responsibilities:
Requires some Wednesday and Saturday afternoon/evenings, and Sunday mornings shifts Must be able to communicate effectively as it pertains to job responsibilities Always remember quality friendly service is our first responsibility (Ephesians 4:29) Make sure the line is stocked thoroughly for the next shift, working daily on prep list with higher priority on items needed first throughout shift (1 Corinthians 14:40) Keep Grab and Go stocked as needed Communicate with other cooks and cashiers about lunch and dinner specials Be able to operate a cash register Assist line and online orders Maintain daily cleaning assignment such as cleaning your workspace as you go, sweep and mop kitchen and clean all countertops after shift, take out trash and reline cans, and make sure dishes are washed and put away Clearly label and date all items and keep items rotated using the oldest first Check and add any new items to the prep list for the next day Other duties as assigned by Supervisor (Colossians 3:23)Job Skills and Competencies:
Be familiar with required restaurant industry standards for food prep and sanitation (Proverbs 1:5) Minimum of one year of experience in food service industry (1 Peter 4:10) Be able to prepare foods with special dietary needs Able to lift 25 pounds The ability to work efficiently and effectively in team situations is critical, as well as the ability to work independently Ability to carefully view all tasks to judge proper priorities Social perceptiveness—being aware of diverse personalities and having Godly discernment to react and respond to situations as needed (Philippians 2:4) Other Qualifications Calvary Chapel must be your home church with regular attendance Minimum of one year of experience in food service industry (1 Peter 4:10) Keep the ministry in the forefront of all you do, with a servant heart and optimistic attitude (Philippians 2:3) Conduct yourself in a manner that reinforces the core values and mission of Calvary Chapel and agree to our Statement of Faith Function as a productive part of the church staff and attend staff meetings in coordination with direct supervisor Demonstrate a mature, ongoing personal relationship with Jesus through spiritual and moral integrity Strong commitment to the vision and mission of Calvary Chapel Melbourne (John 13:34-35) Fruit of the Spirit is consistently displayed in your life, as a reflection of God's love to colleagues and visitors (Galatians 5:22-23)Benefits
