Job Description

Prep Cook - Soseki and Sushi Saint, Winter Park Soseki and Sushi Saint in Winter Park is looking for a reliable, hardworking Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. Soseki holds a Michelin Star, and Sushi Saint has earned a Michelin Bib Gourmand — recognition of our commitment to quality, precision, and craft. We're a fast-paced kitchen that values great ingredients and teamwork, and we're proud to bring that level of excellence to our guests every day. Responsibilities Prep ingredients for both the hot kitchen and sushi bar, including chopping vegetables, portioning proteins, and preparing sauces and garnishes Follow standardized recipes and prep lists to ensure consistency across shifts Properly label, date, and rotate stock (FIFO) to maintain freshness and reduce waste Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary prep area at all times Assist with receiving and storing deliveries Support line cooks and sushi chefs during peak service as needed Follow all food safety and handling guidelines Perform opening/closing side work as assigned Qualifications Previous prep cook or kitchen experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate Basic knife skills and understanding of kitchen safety Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and time management Team player with a positive attitude Food Handler's Certification (or ability to obtain one) Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Pay:
$15.00 - $18.00 per hour
