Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and experienced Breakfast and Lunch Line Cook to join a fast paced bagel restaurant. In this vital role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality breakfast and lunch dishes in a fast-paced environment, ensuring every plate meets our standards for taste, presentation, and safety. Your culinary expertise will help create a welcoming dining experience for our guests, emphasizing efficiency, food safety, and exceptional service. Responsibilities Prepare and assemble breakfast and lunch menu items according to standardized recipes and presentation guidelines. Operate kitchen equipment such as grills, ovens, poaching stations, braising pots, and food production machinery safely and efficiently. Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitizing procedures to ensure a clean and safe working environment. Execute food preparation tasks including food handling, cooking, grilling, braising, poaching, and meal assembly with precision and consistency. Support high-volume production needs during busy service times while adhering strictly to recipe adherence and portion control. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations, timely service delivery, and quality assurance across all dishes. Requirements Proven experience as a line cook with a focus on breakfast and lunch service in a fast-paced setting. Strong knowledge of food industry standards including food safety management, sanitizing procedures, and proper food handling techniques. Demonstrated skills in food preparation techniques such as grilling, braising, poaching, knife skills, and meal prep. Ability to operate various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining cleanliness standards. Experience with dietary department procedures or dietary aide experience is a plus; familiarity with menu planning is beneficial. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure during high-volume production periods.
