Responsibilities Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and quality specifications Operate various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, fryers, and slicers Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to strict food safety and sanitation standards Assist with meal assembly, plating, and presentation to ensure visual appeal and consistency Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food preparation and ensure timely delivery of orders Follow all safety protocols in handling food, knives, and cooking equipment to prevent accidents Support menu planning efforts by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation methods Requirements Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant settings; dietary aide or dietary department experience is a plus Strong knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques and ingredient portioning Knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to safety standards in production environments Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining cleanliness Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with kitchen staff and front-of-house teams Familiarity with food handling regulations, recipe adherence, and meal preparation procedures Embark on a rewarding culinary journey where your skills make a difference!
