About Us We are a nurturing and family-focused early childhood education center dedicated to providing children with a safe, engaging, and enriching environment. We believe healthy meals play an important role in a child's development and are seeking a dependable Preschool Cook who enjoys working in a positive environment and helping care for children through nutritious meal preparation. The job hours are 6:30am-3:30pm each day. Position Summary We are looking for an organized, reliable, and energetic Preschool Cook to prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks for children while maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen environment. The ideal candidate enjoys working around children, understands food safety standards, and takes pride in creating healthy meals. Responsibilities Prepare and serve breakfast, lunch, and snacks according to center menus and nutrition guidelines Ensure meals meet state and childcare nutritional requirements Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen at all times Monitor food inventory and notify management of supply needs Receive, store, and rotate food products properly Follow food handling, health, and sanitation regulations Wash dishes and maintain kitchen equipment Keep records as required for food programs and licensing standards Assist with menu planning and special events when needed Work collaboratively with center leadership and staff Qualifications Previous cooking or food service experience preferred Experience in a childcare center, school, cafeteria, or similar environment is a plus Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices Ability to lift up to 30-40 pounds Dependable, organized, and punctual Ability to pass background screening requirements Food Handler Certification preferred (or willingness to obtain) Preferred Qualities Positive attitude Strong time management skills Team player Comfortable working around young children Passion for preparing nutritious meals Benefits Competitive pay Supportive work environment Paid holidays (if applicable) Opportunities for growth Meaningful work making a difference in children's lives
