Job Description

We are seeking a line cook to become an integral part of our family! This position will support a la carte and private event food production. In addition, you will maintain consistent food preparation and plate presentation for both venues. You will also assist kitchen staff with maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The purpose of the Chattahoochee Country Club is to serve the social and recreational needs peculiar to its membership and unique facilities providing consistently superior food and service in a friendly, gracious atmosphere conducive to good fellowship and camaraderie . Job Responsibilities:
Answer, report, and follow executive or sous chef's instructions Accountability for the dishes they prepare measuring up to the expectations of management Comprehension and organization to follow direct orders and recipes and to correctly prepare dishes to the standards of the club Follow recipes, including measuring, weighing, and mixing ingredients Prepare Food for service (chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces) Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies Present, garnish, and arrange final dishes Maintain a clean and safe work area, including handling utensils, equipment, and dishes Knowledge of safety procedures, including safe temperatures at which ingredients must be kept and to which food must be prepared to avoid foodborne illness Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards Ability to work as part of a team, collaborating on complex dishes. Interpersonal skills to interact with a variety of other people Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff Clean up station and take care of leftover food Stock inventory appropriately Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality, and in a timely fashion
Ideal Candidate:
Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers Proven cooking experience Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks Familiar with industry's best practices Calm demeanor to work in a high-stress, fast-paced environment Servesafe certified. Pays close attention to detail and utilizes active listening Ability to work well with a team is critical
