Benefits Medical insurance for eligible employees Dental insurance Vision insurance Life insurance Paid time off for eligible employees 401(k) 401(k) matching Tuition reimbursement Employee assistance program Employee referral program Paid training Retention incentives Flexible scheduling where available Supportive and team-oriented work environment Meaningful work serving older adults What You'll Do Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes, menus, and production schedules Ensure meals are prepared on time and meet quality and presentation standards Follow food safety, sanitation, infection-control, and kitchen safety requirements Prepare meals that accommodate residents' dietary needs, restrictions, and preferences Review menus and production sheets before meal preparation Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen Properly label, date, rotate, and store food and ingredients Monitor food temperatures and complete required documentation Assist with receiving, storing, and maintaining food supplies Monitor inventory and notify the supervisor when supplies are needed Operate kitchen equipment safely and properly Work closely with Dining Services staff to support smooth meal service Assist with special events, holiday meals, and resident programs as needed Complete additional kitchen and food service duties as assigned What We're Looking For Previous cooking experience in a restaurant, healthcare, senior living, or similar food service environment Knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, and food safety practices Ability to follow recipes, menus, and production schedules Ability to prepare meals for individuals with different dietary needs Strong organization and time-management skills Ability to work efficiently while maintaining attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong communication and customer service skills Dependable attendance and punctuality Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Ability to safely lift and carry up to (lifting requirement) pounds Availability to work based on the needs of the community Apply Today At our community, residents come first.
