Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and energetic Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality ingredients and dishes, ensuring that every meal meets our standards for taste, presentation, and safety. Duties Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, dicing, and portioning ingredients with precision using proper knife skills and slicing techniques Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, stoves, mixers, and food processors Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen tools in compliance with food safety standards Support the team during meal service by ensuring timely preparation and presentation of dishes Follow food handling procedures to uphold safety standards in production and prevent cross-contamination Contribute to menu planning discussions by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation methods Requirements Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is highly desirable Proven food service or restaurant experience demonstrating knowledge of food industry practices Strong understanding of food safety management, sanitation protocols, and safety standards in production environments Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house teams Demonstrated culinary experience with proficiency in cooking techniques, recipe adherence, and meal preparation Skilled in using kitchen equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining high cleanliness standards Knowledge of catering processes is a plus but not required Ability to work quickly under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment Join our team today where your culinary talents will shine!
