Responsibilities Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and quality standards Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, slicers, and food processors Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment to ensure food safety and sanitation compliance Assist with meal preparation for service periods, including plating and garnishing dishes Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate food production and meet service deadlines Follow food handling procedures diligently to uphold safety standards in all aspects of food production Support menu planning efforts by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation techniques Experience Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is highly preferred Familiarity with dietary department procedures or dietary aide experience is a plus Strong knowledge of food safety management practices and safety standards in production Proven skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, knife skills, slicing techniques, and recipe adherence Experience operating various kitchen equipment with attention to safety protocols Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with kitchen staff and front-of-house teams Background in catering or large-scale meal preparation is advantageous but not required Embark on a culinary journey where your skills will be valued, your creativity encouraged, and your contribution celebrated.
