Job Description
Pearl at Kalauao , located in Aiea, HI , is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a full-time Cook 2 ! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon , you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management. Prepares and cooks a variety of dishes in accordance with standard recipes and menu specifications Collaborates with the Chef/F&B Manager to ensure timely and efficient food preparation Supervises and mentors junior kitchen staff, providing guidance and support as needed Maintains a high level of cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and food preparation areas Monitors food quality and presentation to ensure it meets the establishment's standards Assists with the development of new menu items and recipes as directed by the Chef Performs inventory checks and assists with ordering and stocking of ingredients and supplies Ensures compliance with all food safety and sanitation regulations Participates in training and development programs to enhance culinary skills Handles special dietary requests and modifications as needed Performs other duties as assigned by the Chef/F&B Manager All job descriptions are subject to periodic review. Additional duties may be assigned occasionally by management. Two to four years of cooking experience in a professional kitchen High school diploma or equivalent Advanced knowledge of cooking techniques and procedures Experience in managing kitchen operations and maintaining a safe working environment Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and handling procedures Reliable and punctual with the ability to work well under pressure Strong teamwork skills and ability to take direction Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities Physical activity includes long periods (6-8 hours) of standing, walking, bending, and lifting Regular reaching with arms and hands is required Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds Use of sight for cooking, operating equipment, and cleaning Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision Noise level is moderate to loud Extended hours may be required during peak times and holidays Works on weekends and holidays as needed Healthcare Benefits
