Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Line Cook / Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing ingredients, cooking menu items to order, and maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient workstation to ensure every dish meets our quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Prep ingredients daily by chopping vegetables, butchering meats, preparing sauces, and stocking stations according to recipes and food safety standards. Cook and plate menu items accurately and efficiently during service, managing multiple orders simultaneously under pressure. Monitor food stock levels, rotate inventory using FIFO, and report shortages to the head chef or kitchen manager. Maintain strict adherence to sanitation, health, and hygiene standards, including proper food storage and temperature logging. Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, prep surfaces, grills, and fryers at the end of every shift. Collaborate closely with fellow line cooks, dishwashers, and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service flow.Qualifications:
Previous experience working as a line cook, prep cook, or similar role in a commercial kitchen. Strong knife skills and a solid understanding of kitchen fundamentals, cooking techniques, and food safety regulations. Ability to multitask, stay organized, and thrive in a fast-paced, high-heat environment. Physical stamina to stand for long shifts, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks. Reliability, a strong work ethic, and a team-first attitude. Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.What We Offer:
