The Cook plays an important role in supporting resident health and satisfaction by preparing meals that meet dietary requirements and quality standards. As a Cook, you will work closely with the dietary team to provide a safe and enjoyable dining experience.
What We Offer Compensation:
$20 per hour Benefits Health, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance 401(k) with Company Match Paid Time Off (PTO) Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Schedule and Employment Type Full-Time Days (5:30AM - 1:45PM) & (10:45AM - 7PM) Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook meals according to approved menus and recipes Follow therapeutic diet requirements and physician orders Maintain food quality, portion control, and presentation standards Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations Assist with inventory, food storage, and kitchen cleanliness Work collaboratively with the dietary team to ensure excellent meal service Qualifications Previous cooking experience preferred Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices Ability to prepare meals in a fast-paced environment Strong organizational and teamwork skills If you are a Cook who takes pride in preparing quality meals and creating a positive dining experience, apply today to join the Hiawatha Care Center dietary team!
