This position requires a passion for food, creativity in meal preparation, and adherence to food safety standards. Duties Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines. Assist in menu planning to meet the nutritional needs of our clients while ensuring variety and appeal. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout all food handling processes. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal preparation and service. Utilize knife skills for food preparation, ensuring precision and safety in all cutting tasks. Provide excellent customer service during meal service, catering to the needs of guests. Participate in catering events as required, showcasing fine dining experience and presentation skills. Keep the kitchen area organized, clean, and compliant with health regulations. Qualifications Previous experience in a dietary department or as a dietary aide is preferred. Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food service within the culinary industry. Experience in menu planning and catering is highly desirable. Familiarity with fine dining standards and practices is an asset. Demonstrated knowledge of food safety protocols and regulations. Excellent knife skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team setting.
