Description of Company:

For more than 100 years, Orchard Ridge Assisted Living has cared for seniors. Team members work cooperatively together to ensure all resident needs are met.

Schedule:

M-F 6am-2pm OR 7am-3pm

Responsibilities:

Perform thorough cleaning of resident apartments, hallways, common areas, and recreational spaces using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment. Cross train in laundry services efficiently, including washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens and resident clothing. Utilize janitorial equipment safely and effectively while adhering to proper chemical handling procedures to ensure a sanitized environment. Conduct floor care activities such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and carpet cleaning to preserve flooring quality. Follow infection control protocols diligently to prevent the spread of germs and maintain high sanitation standards. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly during all cleaning tasks to ensure safety for yourself and residents. Assist with heavy lifting and manual handling tasks as needed when moving furniture or large cleaning supplies. Support overall custodial operations with attention to detail in all aspects of commercial cleaning and sanitation. Other duties as assigned

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:

Basic knowledge commercial washers and dryers Basic knowledge of the proper way to clean linens Basic housecleaning knowledge Must be able to pass criminal and drug background tests as required by Bureau of Licensing and Orchard Ridge policies Must be able to work respectfully and compassionately with older adults

Training:

Attend all required in-service training

Working Conditions:

Ability to work full time on dedicated schedule

Physical/Sensory Requirements:

Medium work - Ability to exert 20-50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10-25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects

• Long periods of standing and walking with occasional sitting
• Frequent bending, stooping, squatting and reaching
• Occasional twisting and kneeling

$17.00 - $18.00 per hour
