Job Description

As a Bistro Cook at Lula Wine Bar, you'll play an essential role in bringing our menu to life. This position blends cooking responsibilities with shared prep duties . If you love working in a collaborative kitchen and take pride in creating memorable dining experiences, we'd love to have you on our team.
Key Responsibilities:
Food Preparation:
Assist in daily prep tasks such to ensure the kitchen is fully stocked and ready for service.
Cooking Duties:
Cook and assemble menu items according to established recipes, presentation standards, and timing guidelines.
Menu Knowledge:
Maintain a solid understanding of menu offerings, including ingredients, preparation methods, and presentation, to support smooth service and respond to special requests.
Quality & Consistency:
Ensure dishes are prepared and presented to meet our quality standards, maintaining excellent taste, texture, and plating.
Inventory & Organization:
Help monitor stock levels, rotate inventory, and minimize waste to ensure ingredient freshness.
Cleanliness & Safety:
Keep work areas clean and organized, following all sanitation, health, and safety regulations.
Teamwork:
Collaborate with the general manager and support staff to ensure efficient service during busy periods.
Equipment Care:
Handle kitchen equipment responsibly, assisting in cleaning and routine maintenance.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a cook or prep cook in a restaurant or kitchen setting preferred. Knowledge of basic cooking and preparation techniques. Ability to follow recipes, maintain consistency, and work efficiently under pressure. Excellent teamwork and communication skills. Commitment to cleanliness, food safety, and a positive kitchen environment. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends. Part-time positions available.
