Summary/Objective Ensure that the preparation of all food items is to standard during the shift while maintaining a clean and sanitary workspace. Essential Functions Prepare cold and hot items to specification by following recipes and plating standards in order to produce consistent product at all times. Ability to cook meats and proteins to temperature. Set up and service of line stations to standard. Maintain clean and sanitary workspace at all times. Clean dishes and workspaces during and prior to the end of shift. Have complete knowledge of all menu items in order to enhance guest experience Maintain accurate prep list. Ability to come up with specials and additions to the menu in order to offer varied menu utilizing products in inventory. Interact with members in a friendly, caring, and personalized manner. Watch for safety hazards and report them to supervisor immediately. Adhere to all property and department policies and procedures. Ability to execute private functions or catering events with limited supervision. Marginal Functions Ability to recall member names. Treat all members in a manner to ensure their complete satisfaction. Strive to exceed members' expectations. Report to work in a neat and clean uniform with well-groomed hair and personal hygiene. Work Environment This position operates in a kitchen setting. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. The employee may be exposed to hazards including, but are not limited to, cuts, slipping, tripping, falls and burns. Frequent hand washing is required. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is occasionally required to sit, stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull items weighing 50 pounds or less. The position requires manual dexterity; auditory and visual skills; and the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures. Ability to work weekends, holidays, days, and nights with flexible hours through October 31st. Schedule is subject to change, and applicants must be flexible with schedule adjustments. Travel No travel is expected for this position. Required Education and Experience A high school diploma or equivalent. Previous kitchen is experience required. Preferred Education and Experience Prior experience in a restaurant fine dining or refined service position preferred. Additional Eligibility Qualifications Must be fluent in English speaking, reading and writing.
