Line Cook / Prep CookJob Summary We're looking for a dependable, hardworking Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our team at the Hummingbird House. You'll help prep fresh ingredients, make sandwiches, soups, breakfast items, and other menu favorites, while keeping the kitchen clean, organized, and running smoothly. If you enjoy cooking, work well with others, and can stay on top of things during a busy lunch rush, we'd love to have you on our team. Responsibilities Prep ingredients for daily service. Prepare menu items according to our recipes and quality standards. Keep your workstation clean, stocked, and organized throughout your shift. Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times. Wash dishes and help keep the kitchen clean as needed. Restock ingredients and supplies throughout the day. Help with daily opening, closing, and cleaning tasks. Work as a team to keep orders moving quickly and accurately. Pitch in wherever needed to help the café run smoothly. Qualifications Kitchen or food service experience is preferred, but we're happy to train the right person. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and consistency. Dependable, punctual, and a team player. Comfortable standing for long periods and lifting up to 40 lbs. Food Handler's Permit (or willingness to obtain one). We take pride in serving great food with genuine hospitality. Pay:
$9.00 - $9.25 per hour
