- Prepare and cook a variety of meals and snacks in accordance with established recipes and nutritional guidelines.
- Ensure that all food is prepared and served in a safe and sanitary manner, following health and safety regulations.
- Assist in menu planning and food inventory management, ensuring that all ingredients are fresh and available.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food preparation areas, including proper storage of food items.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during meal service times.
- Monitor and maintain food quality and presentation standards.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities as needed.
- Adhere to all dietary restrictions and special requests from students and staff. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a cooking or food service role is a plus.
- Food safety and sanitation certification preferred, able to obtain on the job.
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
