Cook - Job Description The Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking menu items according to recipes and food safety standards. This position helps maintain a clean, organized kitchen while ensuring food is prepared accurately, efficiently, and with consistent quality.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook food according to recipes and portion guidelines. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen, equipment, and work areas. Follow all food safety and health department regulations. Assist with food prep, stocking, and inventory as needed. Monitor food quality and presentation before serving. Work efficiently during busy meal periods while maintaining quality. Communicate effectively with other kitchen staff and management. Assist with opening, closing, and general kitchen duties.
Qualifications:
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices. Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
Pay:
$17.00 - $25.00 per hour
