Job Description
We need an experienced person to help cook our students and teachers healthy meals on a daily basis. This cook would be responsible for cooking and serving meals, washing dishes, and keeping our kitchen nice and tidy. This position would include cooking and preparing 3 meals per day including Breakfast, Lunch and a PM Snack. Cooking includes the use of an electric stove/oven, for mostly frozen prepared, canned, and some fresh produce meals. The cook is responsible for serving classrooms meals in a family style dining format. The cook is also responsible for washing dishes and keeping the kitchen clean and tidy. There may be other light cleaning tasks assigned during the week. This could includes dusting, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning restrooms. Our center is open 7:00-4:00 Monday-Friday, and the cook would be needed on site from 7:30-3:30 daily. Requirements/Qualifications:
Food Managers License, preferred. 2 years kitchen experience, preferred High school diploma required. Candidates must have knowledge, understanding and practical experience working with the youngest children. Must be at least 19 years old. Updated physical required prior to employment Certificate showing completion of Mandated Reporter Training.Personal qualifications:
Licensing Standards for Day Care Centers, emotional maturity, willingness to cooperate with the aims of the program, respect for children and adults, flexibility, patience, good personal hygiene, and physical and mental health which does not interfere with responsibilities.Benefits:
