Line Cook

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Line Cook to join our team. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals in our kitchen. Your role will involve working closely with the Dietary Department and ensuring that all food is prepared and presented according to established standards. Duties:

• Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and portion sizes
• Follow menu planning guidelines and ensure that all meals are prepared on time
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operation during meal service
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Assist with inventory management and stock rotation
• Monitor food quality and report any issues or concerns to the supervisor
• Assist with catering events as needed

Qualifications:

• Previous experience working in a kitchen or food service environment
• Strong knowledge of food handling, preparation, and cooking techniques
• Familiarity with menu planning and recipe execution
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
