Responsibilities Prepare ingredients and components for daily menu items, following established recipes and portion sizes Assist with slicing, dicing, chopping, and other knife skills to ensure precise food preparation Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, fryers, and food processors safely and efficiently Maintain cleanliness of work stations, utensils, and equipment in compliance with food safety standards Support cooking activities by assembling dishes according to specifications and presentation guidelines Follow food handling procedures diligently to ensure safety and prevent cross-contamination Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal prep and meet service timelines Requirements Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is highly desirable Knowledge of menu planning, food preparation techniques, and culinary practices Familiarity with food safety management and safety standards in production environments Experience operating kitchen equipment and demonstrating proper knife skills including slicing techniques Ability to follow recipes accurately and adhere to food handling protocols Strong communication skills to collaborate seamlessly with kitchen team members Prior restaurant or food service experience is a plus; catering experience is beneficial Demonstrated commitment to maintaining cleanliness through regular cleaning routines in the kitchen environment Join us as a Prep Cook and be part of a passionate team dedicated to delivering quality meals with precision and care.
