In this vital role, you will contribute to creating nutritious, appealing meals while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and cleanliness. Your culinary expertise, combined with excellent communication skills, will ensure a positive dining experience for residents or customers. Duties Prepare and serve meals in accordance with established recipes and dietary guidelines, ensuring consistency and quality. Assist with menu planning by suggesting nutritious and appealing options that meet dietary needs. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, slicers, ovens, and other culinary tools. Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by following proper cleaning procedures and sanitation standards. Handle food safely by adhering to food handling protocols, safety standards, and proper storage techniques. Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely service. Support catering functions by preparing food for special events or large-scale service needs. Qualifications Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable. Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations within the food industry or restaurant settings. Knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to safety standards in production environments. Skilled in recipe adherence, meal preparation, and serving techniques with attention to detail. Proficient in using kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including knives with slicing techniques. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with kitchen staff and team members. Experience with menu planning, food handling, catering, and food service operations preferred.
