Danforth, IL 60930 Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented person to support our kitchen team in preparing and presenting high-quality meals for residents, families, and staff. This part-time position requires strong communication skills, dependability, and the ability to follow strict sanitation and food safety standards. Key Responsibilities Prepare and assist the cook in the preparation of breakfast and lunch meals. Prepare cold salads, hot/cold/raw meats, baking, and handle raw fruits and vegetables safely. Prepare and assist with salad bar presentation. Serve palatable and presentable hot and cold foods according to appropriate diets. Follow all proper cleaning and sanitation procedures, thoroughly cleaning and sanitizing personal work areas, equipment, and supplies. Required Skills and Qualifications Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with kitchen staff and management. Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic. Highly organized and detail-oriented to maintain food quality and presentation standards. Ability to critically evaluate food quality and safety standards. Previous kitchen skills desired Must hold or be willing to obtain a manager's sanitation certification. Work Schedule This position requires availability every other weekend and every other holiday, totaling approximately 16 hours per week during daytime hours.
