Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Cook to join our culinary team. Unlike a standard restaurant role, cooking in senior living allows you to build relationships with the people you feed. The ideal candidate will prepare high-quality meals in accordance with dietary guidelines, resident preferences, and health standards, ensuring a positive dining experience for our residents.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook meals following menus and recipes tailored to seniors' nutritional needs. Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met at all times. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment. Collaborate with dietary staff to accommodate special diets and resident requests. Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed.
Qualifications:
At least 1 year of experience in a professional kitchen (experience in healthcare or senior living is a plus!). Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper sanitation practices. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks. Strong communication and teamwork skills. High school diploma or equivalent; culinary training is a plus. Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 pounds. Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-temperature environment. Why Join Us?
