Pizza Maker / Cook Tortorices Pizzeria - 4.0 Downers Grove, IL Job Details Part-time | Full-time $17 - $25 an hour 5 hours ago Benefits Employee discount Full Job Description Job Summary Tortorice's Pizza is looking for a dependable and hardworking Pizza Maker / Cook to join our team in Downers Grove. Experience is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right person. Starting pay is based on experience, skill level, and ability. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen, takes pride in making quality food, and can work well as part of a team. Responsibilities Prepare and make pizzas according to our recipes and standards Stretch dough, sauce, cheese, top, cut, and package pizzas Prepare other menu items as needed Learn and operate pizza ovens and kitchen equipment safely Complete food prep and restock stations Maintain a clean and organized work area Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures Work quickly and accurately during busy dinner periods Communicate and work well with other kitchen staff Help with general kitchen duties as needed Qualifications No pizza-making experience required — we will train the right person Restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred but not required Experienced pizza makers are strongly encouraged to apply Dependable and punctual Able to work in a fast-paced environment Willing to learn and follow our recipes and procedures Able to work evenings and weekends as scheduled Positive attitude and strong work ethic Able to stand for extended periods and perform normal kitchen duties Pay $17.00-$25.00 per hour Starting pay is based on experience and demonstrated ability. Higher starting pay is available for experienced pizza makers who can independently handle the pizza station and perform at a high level. If you're experienced, we'd love to hear from you.
