Food Handler Certification Full Job Description Summary:

Popular gourmet burger restaurant in Geneva is looking for experienced line cooks. Both full and part-time positions available, PM shifts. Great career growth potential- The Burger Local is one of five restaurants in a successful company.

Responsibilities:

Setting up and stocking station with all necessary supplies Preparing food for service Cooking menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff Answer, report and follow kitchen supervisor's instructions Clean up station and properly store food Stock inventory appropriately Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

Requirements:

Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line cook Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures Ability to work on your feet for eight hours or more a day Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds at a time on a regular basis Must be able to work weekends Current Illinois food handlers certificate or FSSMC within 30 days of hire
