O'Toole's of Libertyville is looking for a passionate and skilled Sauté Cook to join our vibrant culinary team. Experience is a MUST. 5+ years In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of sautéed dishes with precision and flair, ensuring each plate meets our high standards for quality and presentation. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in food preparation, high-volume experience, and a thorough understanding of food safety protocols. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and love creating delicious, visually appealing meals, we want to hear from you! Duties Prepare and cook sautéed dishes according to established recipes, menu specifications, and presentation standards. Operate kitchen equipment such as sauté pans, grills, and other appliances safely and efficiently. Maintain high standards of food safety, sanitizing procedures, and proper food handling practices throughout all stages of food production. Execute cooking techniques including poaching, braising, grilling, and knife skills to produce diverse menu items. Support high-volume food production while adhering strictly to recipe guidelines and portion control. Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure timely meal preparation during busy service hours. Weekend night and evenings are a must. Experience Previous experience in food service or hospitality is essential; experience in high-volume kitchens is highly desirable. 5 years experience needed. Strong knowledge of food safety management and sanitizing procedures in a professional kitchen setting. Proven skills in food preparation techniques such as poaching, braising, grilling, and general cooking methods. Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
