In this energetic role, you will be the backbone of our kitchen, preparing ingredients, cooking delicious dishes, and ensuring every plate meets our high standards of quality and safety. Your culinary expertise will help create memorable dining experiences for our guests, all while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills and grow within the food industry.
Hours Needed:
Monday - Thursday 3.00pm-10.00pm Friday, Saturday and Sunday 12.00pm - 12.00am Duties Prepare ingredients by chopping, slicing, and portioning according to recipes and standards Cook menu items with precision, adhering to recipe specifications and presentation guidelines Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, fryers, and food processors safely and efficiently Maintain cleanliness of work stations, utensils, and kitchen appliances to meet sanitation standards Assist with meal assembly and plating to ensure timely service during busy hours Follow food safety protocols including proper food handling, storage, and temperature control Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate orders and ensure smooth workflow Requirements Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is highly desirable Proven food preparation and cooking skills within a restaurant or food service environment Knowledge of safety standards in food production and food safety management practices Strong knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques and ingredient prep Ability to operate various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently Experience with menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal preparation processes Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen team members Familiarity with catering experience or large-scale food service is a plus Join us if you're passionate about culinary arts, eager to learn new techniques, and committed to delivering exceptional food safety standards.
