Duties Prepare and cook meals according to standardized recipes, dietary guidelines, and menu specifications Operate various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, mixers, slicers, and other culinary tools Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation by following proper handling and cleaning procedures Assist with menu planning by suggesting innovative dishes and ensuring variety in meal options Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service and smooth kitchen operations Ensure all food preparation aligns with safety standards in production and food handling regulations Support catering events and special meal requests with professionalism and attention to detail Qualifications Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a related role within the food industry or restaurant setting Strong knowledge of safety standards in production, food handling, and sanitation practices Skilled in culinary techniques such as knife skills, slicing methods, and recipe adherence Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and operating kitchen equipment efficiently Excellent communication skills for effective coordination with kitchen staff and team members Dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with special dietary needs Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards Join us as a Cook and bring your culinary talents to life!
