Schedule:
Kitchen is open from 5:30am - 7:30pm Summary/Objective Under the direct supervision of the Food Services Director, the Cook prepares food in accordance with Resident Diet Specifications, facility procedures, and prescribed dietary and sanitary regulations. Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. Prepare palatable, presentable food for residents, patients, and retail business. Follow all food safety protocols. Adhere to and provide nutritional requirements as directed with menus or through Registered Dietitian. Strictly follow resident diet guidelines including, but not limited to: therapeutic diets, pureed diets, and mechanically altered diets as well as any allergen avoidances. Follow all proper cleaning/sanitation procedures and expected to thoroughly clean and sanitize personal work areas, equipment, and supplies. Complete all cleaning duties daily and per shift as assigned, posted, and requested. Love to cook with great food presentation. Education/Experience Requirements Experience with grilling, cooking and baking required . High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Must be willing to obtain a Food Safety or Sanitation license. Iroquois Memorial Hospital is a 25 bed hospital located in Watseka, Illinois. The hospital facility is comprised of clinical and diagnostic services which are dedicated to providing high quality health care services to the community. These services include but are not limited to an Emergency Room, full service OR suites, an inpatient care unit, therapy services, advanced medical imaging, Home Health, and Hospice Care. The hospital operates rural health clinics in Watseka, IL, Gilman, IL, Milford, IL, Saint Anne, IL and Kentland, IN. The hospital also operates a skilled nursing facility, Iroquois Resident Home, which is attached to the hospital property.
