Auburn Village in Auburn, Indiana, has an immediate opening for Full Time Cook on Day Shift (5:00a - 1:30p) or Evenings (Noon-8:00p)

Cook:

Prepare food in a timely manner in accordance with dietary requirements Follow standardized recipes in food preparation Inspect special dietary trays before service to ensure they are correct May serve food on the food tray line Supervise and/or assist in receiving and check in of deliveries of food and supplies Follow work/cleaning schedules Maintain a clean, organized and safe kitchen Auburn Village is part of a highly respected, growing network of senior care facilities with locations throughout Northern Illinois and Indiana. One to two years of cooking experience required Ability to interpret Resident Diet Cards and assure proper food distribution Experience cooking in a Hospital, Skilled Nursing or Long-Term Care facility Capable of following written and oral instructions concerning specific methods of the preparation of foods and beverages Familiar with seasonings, understand cooking times and follow sanitation requirements Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills Professional and personable demeanor Must have compassion, tolerance and understanding of older adults Must pass an Indiana State Police and national background checks; may require fingerprinting Equal Opportunity Employer
