Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Prep Cook to join our dynamic culinary team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for preparing ingredients, assisting with meal assembly, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. Your energy and culinary skills will contribute to delivering high-quality meals efficiently and safely. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about food preparation, kitchen operations, and providing exceptional food service experiences. Responsibilities Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, slicing, chopping, and measuring according to recipes and standards Assist in assembling meals and plating dishes with precision and attention to presentation Operate kitchen equipment such as slicers, mixers, ovens, and fryers safely and effectively Follow food safety protocols to ensure proper handling, storage, and sanitation of ingredients and tools Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment through regular cleaning routines Support menu planning by preparing ingredients in advance for upcoming service periods Collaborate closely with kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication and timely meal production Requirements Prior experience in dietary departments or dietary aide roles is highly desirable Proven food preparation and cooking experience within a restaurant or food industry setting Strong knife skills, slicing techniques, and familiarity with food safety management practices Knowledge of safety standards in food production environments Ability to follow recipes accurately while adhering to portion control guidelines Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with kitchen team members Experience with meal preparation, catering services, or serving is a plus Demonstrated ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
Pay:
$14.00 - $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 40.0 per week
