One week: Sunday-Thursday 10:30am-6:30pm Next week: Monday-Thursday 10:30am-6:30pm •Off every Friday •Every other weekend

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Performs supervised food preparation and production activities for patient meal service and cafeteria operations, including regular and therapeutic diets. Utilizes foundational cooking skills and basic food preparation techniques, operates kitchen equipment safely, and maintains a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment in accordance with food safety standards. Works closely with the morning cook to support daily food production, replenish cafeteria food items during lunch service, and prepare selected menu items for the following day's cafeteria lunch service to ensure product availability and quality. Responsible for preparing patient meal items by following standardized recipes and production instructions provided on an iPad, while ensuring accuracy and consistency. Serves lunch and dinner meals to patients and contributes to the efficient delivery of high-quality food service operations.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience is preferred. No experience is required. Prior food service experience is preferred. Requires the ability to operate kitchen equipment. Must be able to wear protective equipment/clothing required by the environment or government regulations such as gowns, gloves, goggles, rubber-soled closed-toe footwear, etc. Requires adherence to local health regulations and safety requirements to produce safe food for consumption. Requires the ability to climb ladders. Physical requirements to include reaching, standing for long periods of time, squatting, bending, carrying and/or lifting supplies and equipment weighing 35 lbs. or more, up to 80% of the time.
