Preschool Lead Cook Full-Time | Summers Off | Non-Exempt | In Person Do you love cooking and want to make a difference in children's lives? Join SEK-CAP, Inc. as a Preschool Lead Cook and help create nutritious, appealing meals that fuel learning and growth. You'll lead kitchen operations, ensure compliance with CACFP guidelines, and work closely with staff to promote healthy eating habits for children ages 3-5. What You'll Do Prepare well-balanced, appetizing meals and snacks daily following CACFP guidelines. Ensure smooth daily food service operations. Plan menus, purchase supplies, and maintain accurate records. Modify recipes for children with allergies or special dietary needs. Collaborate with teachers to provide fun, educational nutrition activities. Maintain strict food safety and sanitation standards. What We're Looking For High School diploma or GED required Previous cooking experience for groups of 20+ preferred Ability to calculate portions and adjust recipes Basic math and time management skills Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid certification within 30 days Valid driver's license and ability to meet agency insurance guidelines
