Summary:
Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Daphne Mae Café kitchen preparing fresh, high-quality food. Job Responsibilities Prepare high quality food and ensure food is well presented and served in timely manner. Maintain a clean and sanitary work station area including tables, shelves, grills, ovens, and refrigeration equipment. Prepare and serve food consistent with portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures. Ensure good working relationships are maintained between all staff within a fast-paced and service-focused environment Adhere to food and workplace safety standards, maintaining high levels of cleanliness in the kitchen at all times. Keep accurate records, including food safety records. Monitor inventory levels, monitoring usage and ensuring that waste is kept to an absolute minimum. Handle, store and rotate all products properly. Responsible for food preparation during off-peak periods as needed.
  • Continuously expand your knowledge of food and beverage quality controls, preparation methods and presentation. All other duties as assigned. Qualifications
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including when café is busiest (rotating evenings and weekends)
  • Ability to walk, bend, and stand for extended periods.
  • 2+ years in food service preferred.
  • Food safety training, i.e. ServSafe.
  • US work authorization.
  • Reliable and predicable attendance.

$10.00 - $15.00 per hour
