From weddings and holiday parties to corporate retreats and social gatherings, our catering team delivers unforgettable events with creative menus, seamless service, and elevated design expertise. We are currently seeking Prep Cooks to join the Proof of the Pudding team at Legends Field in Kansas City, Kansas. This position is responsible for preparing and cooking food items that result in high quality of taste and appearance to satisfy guests and maximize food revenues. This is seasonal/part-time work as business needs are dictated by athletic events
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Setting up and sanitizing workstations. Following prep lists that are created by lead culinary. Measuring ingredients, and seasonings. Preparing cooking ingredients such as soup stock (HOT FOODS) to be used in the cooking process. Preparing simple dishes as directed by the Executive Chef. Ensuring all food items are properly stored and easily accessible. Assisting chefs in preparing food and attending to any culinary tasks that arise. Supervising food and cooling room temperatures. Accepting or rejecting ingredients from suppliers. Maintaining a clean, orderly, and sanitized kitchen. Maintaining the highest level of food quality with your culinary team. Ensure proper safety and sanitation of all kitchen/food service areas. Running food on game-days. Performs other related duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and/or
Experience:
1+ year of experience working in a kitchen, experience in catering is preferred. High School diploma or equivalent preferred. ServSafe certified or is available to receive training.
