Job Description

The Black Sheep Tap House is looking to add additional members to our kitchen staff. We provide a relaxed yet professional environment, serving a variety of fresh, made-to-order menu items. We are seeking team members who can collaborate with our current staff to increase restaurant productivity and guest satisfaction. The responsibilities for the Line Cook position include:
  • Preparing and cooking menu items according to standardized recipes, portion guidelines, and presentation standards.
  • Operating designated cooking stations (grill, fry, broiler, pantry) and safely using commercial kitchen equipment.
  • Preparing ingredients by washing, peeling, chopping, slicing, and measuring.
  • Setting up, stocking, and restocking workstations before, during, and after service.
  • Following all food safety, sanitation, hygiene, and storage regulations.
  • Inspecting ingredient quality, minimizing food waste, and monitoring inventory levels.
  • Cleaning kitchen equipment and workstations after use.
  • Prioritizing orders and accommodating dietary restrictions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Participating in opening and closing duties, and supporting other stations during peak hours.
  • Training new staff and reporting equipment malfunctions to management.
  • Maintaining professionalism, composure, and strong communication with the team.
