Job Description
As a Sauté Cook, your primary responsibility will be to satisfy our guests by providing them with the highest quality food. Your job will include setting up your station, food preparation, menu item portioning, cutting, and proper storage/rotation of all food products. Additional jobs may include assisting in other areas of the kitchen. A Sauté Cook will always maintain a safe, clean, and sanitary workstation. Teamwork and cooperation among all kitchen employees and the "front of the house" staff are essential.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Opening Responsibilities:
1. Coordinate dinner special with Executive and/or Assistant Chef 2. Prep and set up front line refrigerator with all food products to daily par levels 3. Prep and set up front line freezer with all frozen products to daily par levels 4. Stock steam table with all food products to daily par levels 5. Prep and set up front line with all food products to daily par levels 6. Stock front line with plates, bowls, and cooking utensils as needed for service 7. Assist in preparation of other areas of the kitchenMain Business Hours Responsibilities:
1. Prepare ordered menu items from sauté station during dinner hours 2. Keep work area cleanClosing Responsibilities:
1. Break down food items from the front line and take them to the back kitchen or put them away in the walk-in refrigerator unit 2. Break down food items from steam table wells and take them to the back kitchen or put them away in the walk-in or refrigerator unit 3. Dispose of fry holding pan to the dish room 4. Take bus tubs and cooking utensils from the front line to the dish room 5. Drain water from all steam table wells and clean wells 6. Clean and sanitize steam table unit including lower shelving 7. Clean and sanitize sauté station window area 8. Clean and sanitize steam table water holding pans 9. Bag and dispose of front-line trash 10. Sweep and mop front line floor 11. Other duties as specified by management Experience /Requirements:
Previous restaurant experience is required. Good communication skills are important. The ability to lift heavy loads and to stand for a long period of time is requiredJob Types:
