Hiring Agency Tourism, Arts, & Heritage Cabinet | Kentucky Department of Parks Location 113 Administration Drive Gilbertsville, KY 42044 USA Description Kentucky Dam Village State Resort Park is located on beautiful Kentucky Lake in Gilbertsville, Kentucky. This Resort Park is one of the premier lodging and dining facilities on the Lake, boasting a Marina, Campground, 18-hole Pro Golf Course, Executive Cottages, and Conference Center. The glimmering panoramic views from our 200-seat restaurant have allowed for over 50 years of guest service in a changeful hospitality industry. We are currently looking to fill the position of Cook II in our Harbor Lights Restaurant. The ideal candidate will work within a team-centered environment to help ensure our guests receive the best product and experience our beautiful park has to offer. We serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus as well as catered events on park. It also offers an opportunity to learn different skills due to our many outlets. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Coordinates, prepares, and serves meals in a timely basis and in accordance with sanitary regulations. Performs cooking duties. Assists in menu development. Assists with inventory and purchasing. Assists the Park Chef II and Park Chef III positions as needed training and supervising kitchen personnel. Skills and abilities include, but are not limited to: Time management Teamwork Communication skills Compliance with all Food and Beverage Park standards Ability to work under pressure Willingness to develop team members and self Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations Ability to work on your own or in teams Maintain a valid KY STAR certification and Servsafe certification Cooking experience in large scale commercial setting Ability to work a flexible schedule Minimum RequirementsEDUCATION
NONEEXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS
Two years of cooking experience in an institutional or large scale commercial setting. SubstituteEDUCATION
