You will follow standardized recipes, special diet guidelines, and strict food safety and sanitation standards while operating and cleaning kitchen equipment. The Cook works closely with dietary and clinical teams to support resident health, satisfaction, and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities Prepare and cook meals according to standardized recipes and healthcare dietary guidelines Follow special diets, texture modifications, and allergen requirements for residents and patients Maintain strict food safety, sanitation, and HACCP standards Set up, operate, and clean kitchen equipment safely and correctly Assist with menu execution, portion control, and plate presentation Label, store, and rotate food to ensure quality and minimize waste Collaborate with dietary, nursing, and support staff to meet resident needs Maintain a clean, organized kitchen and comply with regulatory inspections Support training of new team members as needed Uphold company values of teamwork, integrity, and quality service Required Skills Food preparation Large-batch cooking Kitchen equipment operation Food safety and sanitation (HACCP) Special diet and allergen preparation Time management Recipe and menu compliance Knife skills Temperature monitoring and recording Cleaning and dishwashing procedures
