Line Cook / Prep Cook About Over/Under Welcome to Over/Under, Downtown Paducah's premier locally owned sports bar. Located in the heart of downtown at 314 Broadway, Over/Under is the go-to destination for great food, cold beer, craft cocktails, and premium sports entertainment. Whether guests are joining us for brunch, lunch, happy hour, dinner, or game day, they enjoy an exceptional menu, 14 beers on tap, a full-service bar featuring award-winning Kentucky bourbons, and the excitement of 30 TVs ensuring they never miss a moment of the action. Job Overview We're looking for an energetic and dependable Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our fast-paced kitchen team. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-volume environment, enjoys working under pressure, and takes pride in preparing quality food consistently. From busy lunch rushes and packed dinner services to major sporting events and weekends, you'll play a vital role in delivering the food and experience that keeps our guests coming back. Responsibilities Prepare ingredients and food items according to recipes, portion standards, and quality expectations. Cook menu items efficiently while maintaining consistency during high-volume service periods. Set up, stock, and maintain assigned stations throughout each shift. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department guidelines. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure timely food service. Assist with inventory rotation, stocking, and prep lists as assigned. Support team members during peak business hours and special events. Complete opening, closing, and daily cleaning duties. Qualifications You must be able to climb stairs multiple times a shift. Previous experience in a fast-paced restaurant, sports bar, or similar kitchen environment preferred. Strong work ethic with the ability to multitask and stay focused during busy shifts. Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen equipment. Understanding of food safety and sanitation standards. Strong knife skills and attention to detail. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds. Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented. Availability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and major sporting events.
