First Cook /Program Support Staff Rebecca's Culinary Group is seeking an experienced First Cook / Program Support Staff to support our kitchen operations for our contract dining program in Belmont, MA. This role assists the General Manager and Kitchen Staff in overseeing daily snack program, kitchen production, maintaining quality and sanitation standards, and collaborating with kitchen staff to execute lunch service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare fresh, scratch-made food for daily service and catering.
• Maintain a sanitary, organized kitchen in compliance with HAACP standards.
• Train, motivate, and supervise kitchen staff.
• Showcase Rebecca's Culinary Group recipes and steps of service.
• Support all aspects of kitchen operations to ensure smooth service.
• Prepare Daily Snack Program with special attention to student allergies

Requirements:

• Experience in high-quality restaurants, cafés, or catering operations.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Computer literacy (Microsoft Suite, Google Docs).
• ServSafe, Allergen, and Choking Training (or willingness to complete)

Physical Demands:

Ability to lift up to 40 lbs; frequent standing, bending, and working in heat/steam. Schedule & Environment

• This position operates within private K-12 environment with daytime hours, Monday through Thursday. Occasional weekend or catering shifts may be required.
• This role operates in a kitchen environment with equipment including ovens, stoves, dishwashers, slicers, coffee machines, steamers, mixers, and chef's knives. Exposure to heat, steam, fire, and noise is frequent.
