This role is at the heart of our food service operation, where you'll lead kitchen activities, oversee food preparation, and ensure the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. As a key leader, you will manage daily kitchen operations and staff. Responsibilities Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating in line with quality standards. Oversee food safety protocols, sanitizing procedures, and proper handling to maintain compliance with health regulations. Manage inventory control and food production schedules to optimize resources and minimize waste. Coordinate menu planning including weekly specials Supervise shift management, including assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and supporting team development. Ensure consistent delivery of excellent food service by maintaining high standards for presentation and taste. Collaborate with management on cost control measures, including waste reduction initiatives. Requirements Proven experience Supervising experience within a fast-paced kitchen or food service environment. Extensive knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures, inventory management, and food handling practices. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively as a chef or kitchen supervisor. Strong background in menu planning, food production, and kitchen management within the hospitality or restaurant industry. Experience with dietary department operations or specialized dietary accommodations is a plus.
Pay:
$22.41 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
