Job Description

Role Overview The Cook prepares high-quality, nutritious meals for residents, ensuring they meet dietary needs and presentation standards. They follow standardized recipes, record food production and safety temperatures, and manage food storage and rotation in compliance with safety regulations. The role involves maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, supporting sanitation and safety guidelines, and assisting with dishwashing and dining services. In the absence of the Dining Services Coordinator, the Cook leads food production to ensure a positive dining experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and serve meals according to menus and recipes Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation standards Follow dietary modifications and special meal requirements Maintain safety and sanitation in the kitchen Record production quantities and food safety temperatures Support cleaning, equipment maintenance, and food storage Assist with dishwashing and dining support as needed Lead food production in the Coordinator's absence
Qualifications & Skills:
Ability to follow recipes and dietary guidelines Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and OSHA standards Organizational skills for food storage and inventory Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Strong attention to cleanliness and safety protocols
