Candidates must have open availability and proven experience operating in a high volume kitchen. Food prep and counter help may be required. Starting hourly rate is between $18-21 per hour plus tips ($2-4/hr), and depends on experience and capabilities determined at interview. Developmental and growth opportunities available. We are seeking candidates to grow with us professionally and financially. Responsibilities Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces) Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff Answer, report and follow manager's and owner's instructions Clean up station and stock inventory appropriately Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers Closing down stations, cleaning all units inside, under and behind, clean floors and walls, stock stations to plan-o-gram, rotate bread, and weekly detail cleaning Skills Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line cook, chef, restaurant cook or prep cook Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks Familiar with industry's best practices
