About the Irish Cultural Centre Join us as we are an inclusive and collaborative group working to serve as a focal point for the expression of Irish culture through a variety of activities, events, and programs. We offer our facilities for rental and functions outside of our Irish cultural programs and events. Located in Canton, MA on a pristine campus of almost 50 acres, the property includes an authentic Irish Pub, multiple function rooms, seasonal marquee tent and athletic fields. Line Cook We are looking for an experienced line cook who also has catering experience. We need a strong cook to work with our kitchen team for our weekly dinner service in our Pub as well as prepare food for private function and large-scale events. Responsibilities o Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies o Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces) o Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff o Answer, report and follow all operational instructions o Clean up station and take care of leftover food o Stock inventory appropriately o Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion o Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards o Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers Skills o Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook o Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures o Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks o Familiar with industry's best practices Requirements and skills o Proven work experience as a line cook o Hands-on experience with planning menus and ordering ingredients o Knowledge of a wide range of recipes o Familiarity with kitchen sanitation and safety regulations o Excellent organizational skills o Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment o Flexibility to work during evenings and weekends o ServSafe Certified Required o Allergen Certified Required o Weekends / Nights are Required Pay commensurate with experience
