Job Summary Join our dynamic culinary team as a Prep/Cook, where your enthusiasm for food and dedication to quality will shine! In this vital role, you will assist in preparing ingredients, cooking dishes, and ensuring that all food served meets our high safety and quality standards. Your energy and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment for both staff and guests, supporting smooth kitchen operations from prep to plating. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop culinary skills while contributing to a vibrant food service environment. Responsibilities Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, slicing, and measuring according to recipes and menu specifications Assist in cooking and assembling dishes, ensuring proper presentation and adherence to recipe standards Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, mixers, slicers, and other culinary tools Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen surfaces in compliance with food safety regulations Follow food handling procedures to ensure safety standards are met during all stages of meal preparation Support menu planning by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation techniques Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal production and meet service timelines Qualifications Previous experience in dietary departments or food service environments is highly desirable Knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to safety standards in production Culinary experience with strong knife skills and slicing techniques Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, and slicers Experience in food preparation, meal assembly, or catering is a plus Ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain consistency in food quality Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork within the kitchen environment Join us if you're passionate about food industry standards, enjoy working in a fast-paced setting, and are eager to grow your culinary expertise! Pay:
$23.50 - $28.30 per hour Expected hours: 32.0 per week
