OVERVIEW
Line Cooks at Start Line Brewing Company assist in the important daily operation of the Kitchen to deliver an outstanding prepared food experience in our Tap Room. Line Cooks report to the Kitchen Manager and are highly dedicated, self-driven, team oriented, and passionate about food quality. A focus on clean work stations, exceeding sanitation standards, operating efficiently and professionally in a fast paced environment are expected to contribute to an outstanding Craft experience for our guests.
DUTIES:
Prepare fresh Ingredients in a professional scratch kitchen Learn recipes and execute techniques (portioning, plating, allergy, etc.) Receive and execute orders according to recipe and procedures Learn seasonal menu, specials menu and incorporate local ingredients Ensure that all recipes, food preparation, and presentation meet high standards and specifications Work line through volume Assist with the daily operations of the kitchen and team Communicate effectively with both Tap Room and Kitchen Staff Maintain a safe, orderly and sanitized kitchen Close procedures for station and/or kitchen including sweeping and moping floor Occasional Expediting and Closing Kitchen
SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES
Motivated, hardworking contributor in a fast-paced kitchen environment Ability to read recipes, follow training and direction, memorize and replicate production procedures Skills and coordination to use Kitchen utensils and equipment Capability to learn, development and improve in role
REQUIREMENTS
18+ Years of Age ServSafe Certification 1 Year+ Cooking Experience, 2-5 Years Preferred Flexible Work Hours, including Nights, Weekends and Holidays Background in Restaurant Industry Preferred
JOB GRADE
Full Time, Part Time, Non Exempt PAY:
$20-$25/
Hour HOURS:
30-35 Hours per Week during off season, 40 during
April-October Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
