COOK SUPERVISORS

TIME AND FULL TIME
Blaire House of Milford Assisted Living Facility is seeking an energetic Cook to uphold the high standards of care. We have been family owned and operated, servicing the health care needs of seniors for nearly 50 years. Our campus also hosts a Skilled Nursing Center, Adult Day Health Center, Senior Transportation and Home Care Services.
SHIFTS:
6 am
  • 2:30 pm and/or 11 am
  • 7:30 pm
  • Every other weekend required
Job Summary :
Responsible for preparing, cooking, and garnishing of all meals during working shift. In the absence of the Food Service Supervisor, the Cook is responsible to assume the role of The Food Service Supervisor. Responsible for diet cards and holders on each set up. Responsible for planning and implementing the daily menu and for nourishments being delivered on time to the Nursing Department. Responsible for receiving and storing all food and supplies delivered to dietary. Attend all facility meeting, including but not limited to staff meetings, as required by the Food Service Supervisor. Practice positive resident relations by demonstrating hospitality and service standards to residents, families, guests, and the public.
Qualifications:

EDUCATION
Ability to speak, read, and write English. A high school diploma or education or experience in food management and preparation is desirable. Must have a ServSafe Certificate or enroll in and pass an approved ServSafe Certification Program within a six-month period from date of employment. 2.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
At least two years of supervision of personnel is required. Should have at least two years' experience cooking a variety of food in large quantities and knowledge of required seasoning and characteristics of various meals.
